FATHALA WILDLIFE RESERVE
SAFARI IN SENEGAL

Enjoy an African bush experience with a guided safari tour through the wild life park. Fathala Wildlife Reserve is a nature conservation area of 2,000 hectares of thick Savannah with original African and protected wildlife.
An early morning pick up will bring you by car to Banjul where we join the ferry crossing the River Gambia to the North Bank at Barra. Only the ferry crossing is already an unforgettable experience.
After the ferry crossing we travel along by car and pass different local villages before reaching Fathala Game Park.
The park is just 3 km over the border in Senegal and at Amdalai your passport and vaccination book will be checked, so don’t forget.
In the park we take an open truck and escorted by a park guide you will enjoy the giant mahogany trees, high savannah grass and the bush while you look for Rhinos, Giraffes, Zebras, Roan, Antelopes, Buffalos, Baboons, Monkeys, Bushbuck, Warthog and many other species. Take your binoculars with you!
The lions are in a separate area. The park offers for extra payment an interactive guided lion walk, you can accompany young lions on foot. You have to be at least 1.5 metre tall!
At the end of the afternoon we head back to Barra for the ferry crossing to your respective hotel. It will definitely be a once in a lifetime experience!
